Using POL
POL is a marketplace for local listings. On the website you can browse listings, categories and cities without an account. When you sign in, you can also post and manage ads, save listings, message other users, view sellers' contact details and contact support.
Some features use credits. The Pricing and Refund Policy pages explain how credits work and when they are used.
Your Account
You can browse POL without an account. To post ads, message other users or view contact details, you sign in with Google or Apple. You must be at least 18 to create an account.
Keep your account details accurate, including your name and phone number, and don't share your account or let anyone else use it. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
One account per person. Don't create extra accounts to collect free credits, get around a suspension or post the same ads again.
You can delete your account in the POL app. A deleted account can be restored by signing in again within 30 days.
Listings
Listings are created by users or business owners. POL may review, rank, hide, pause or remove listings to protect marketplace quality, safety and legal compliance.
Listing information may change or become unavailable. Confirm the details with the seller before making a decision.
Your Content
You are responsible for the ads, photos, profile details, messages and reviews you add to POL, and you must have the right to share them.
Your content stays yours. By posting it, you allow POL to store, show, resize and, when you ask, translate it in order to run the website and the app.
The contact details you add to an ad are shown to signed-in users who ask to see them. Only add contact details you are happy to share.
Rules for Ads and Messages
Ads must describe a real item, service, property or business that you can offer, in the right category and city, with honest prices, photos and descriptions.
Do not post or send: anything illegal, including stolen or counterfeit goods, weapons, drugs, or services that need a licence you don't have; scams, fake ads or misleading offers; sexual or violent content; hate speech, threats or harassment; other people's personal information or photos without their permission; content that copies someone else's work or brand; or spam, duplicate ads and unrelated links.
Use messages and contact details for your conversation about a listing, not for unrelated advertising or spam.
Don't misuse POL itself: no automated or bulk collection of listings or contact details, no attempts to get around limits, credits or security, and no interfering with the website or the app.
Breaking the Rules
You can report an ad with the Report button on the listing, and report messages or block a user from a chat. We review reports and may also find problems ourselves.
If content or behaviour breaks these terms or the law, we may remove or hide content, pause ads, limit features such as posting or messaging, or suspend or close the account. We decide based on how serious the problem is and whether it has happened before, and we may act without warning when people are at risk.
If you think we got a decision about your account or content wrong, contact Support or email [email protected] and we will look at it again.
Credits that were already used are not returned. Unused credits on an account closed for serious or repeated violations are not refunded, unless the law requires it.
Transactions
POL does not own listed items, employ listed service providers or act as a party to transactions between users.
Buyers and sellers are responsible for confirming price, condition, availability, timing, delivery, payment and any local requirements.
Safety
Meet in safe public places when possible, inspect items before payment and avoid sending money in advance to people you do not know.
Report suspicious, misleading or unsafe listings with the Report button on the listing (sign-in required).
Website Availability
We may update, limit or suspend parts of the website at any time. Some features, such as buying credits, are only available in the POL app.
Changes
We may update these terms as the marketplace and app features change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest update.
