What We Collect
When you browse the website, we may process basic technical information such as IP address, device/browser type, requested pages, language, approximate location signals and server logs.
If you use location-based sorting or search for nearby pharmacies, your browser may ask for location permission. The website uses that location to sort listings or find pharmacies near you.
If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from that provider. Account features then handle what you add: your profile (name, photo, bio, city, social links and phone number, verified with an SMS code), the ads you post (text, photos, location and the contact details you choose to show), saved ads, chat messages with their photos and videos, support tickets and, if you turn on notifications, your browser's push subscription.
How We Use Data
We use public website data to operate the site, improve search and marketplace quality, keep pages secure, diagnose issues, understand general usage patterns and, if you accept advertising cookies, measure and improve our ads.
We use account data to provide the features you use: posting and managing ads, showing contact details to people who ask for them, delivering messages and notifications, answering support requests and keeping the marketplace safe, for example by reviewing reports and preventing abuse.
Ad owners see statistics about their ads, such as views, saves, shares and contact requests.
What Other Users See
Your name appears on the ads you post and to the people you chat with.
The contact details on an ad (phone, email, WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram or website) are shown only to signed-in visitors who tap to view them. Signed-out visitors and search engines never see seller contact details.
The POL app uses the same account, so the same information is available there.
Cookies and Storage
We use essential cookies and local storage to run the website: keeping you signed in, remembering your language, city and cookie choice, and keeping pages secure. These are always on. We also keep a random device ID in local storage so ad statistics count each visitor once.
With your consent, we also use the Meta Pixel, an advertising tool from Meta Platforms. It helps us measure how our ads on Facebook and Instagram perform and show POL ads to people who have visited the website. When it is on, Meta sets its own cookies (such as _fbp) and receives information like the pages you visit, your IP address and your browser and device details. Meta handles that data under its own privacy policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy).
The Meta Pixel only runs after you choose Accept in our cookie banner. If you choose Decline, it is not loaded.
Sharing
We may use service providers for hosting, analytics, security, backend infrastructure and app operations. Sign-in goes through Google or Apple, whichever you choose, and phone verification codes are sent by SMS through Twilio. If you accept advertising cookies, Meta receives the information described under Cookies and Storage. We do not sell your personal information.
Your Choices
You can browse without signing in, disable browser location access or clear cookies/storage.
You can see and edit your profile and ads in your account, and delete your account in the POL app. A deleted account can be restored by signing in again within 30 days; after that, it is permanently removed.
For privacy requests, such as a copy of your data or a correction, contact Support from your account or email [email protected].
You can accept or decline advertising cookies, and change your choice at any time, with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page or the button below. Declining stops the Meta Pixel and removes the Meta cookies set on this website.
